ABOUT
One workspace,
built in the open
Gealo puts the tracker, chat, meetings, HR and your Git host in one workspace, so context stops leaking through the seams between separate tools.
The mission
Modern software teams pay for, and switch between, half a dozen tools to get one job done. Each tool is good in isolation; the friction is the space between them. Gealo's mission is to put tasks, real-time chat, meetings, workforce HR, GitHub sync and an AI agent in one workspace, governed by one permission model, so teams spend less time stitching tools together and more time shipping.
On top of that, Gealo ships 105+ free, browser-based developer tools that run entirely client-side. They are a genuinely useful front door that asks nothing in return.
Who is behind Gealo
Gealo is built by one person: Mohammed Yousuf, a solo developer who designed and shipped the entire platform, from the frontend and backend to the infrastructure and the free tool suite. Building solo forces a discipline that benefits users directly. Every feature has to earn its place, and the architecture stays honest because there is nowhere to hide complexity.
You can follow the work on GitHub, read the engineering blog , or see what has shipped recently on the changelog .
The principles
- The workspace owns everything. Every row, file and message belongs to a single workspace. Data never crosses workspace boundaries. That is the one rule that never bends. Read how it works in our isolation write-up .
- One source of truth for limits. Plan limits and features are computed on the server, never hardcoded in the browser. Plans grant, policies restrict, add-ons expand.
- Privacy by default. The free tools process your files in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored.
- Honesty over hype. Our security page and trust center say exactly where compliance work stands, not what sounds good.
What's inside today
Tasks with subtasks, folders, sprints and releases; per-workspace real-time chat; one-off and recurring meetings; workforce HR with attendance and leave; native GitHub sync; and an AI agent that can create and update tasks within your permissions. The features overview walks through each one.
