Click generate. Curve ed25519 is small (~80 bytes for the public key), fast, and the modern default.

The private key is generated with WebCrypto's native ed25519 implementation and wrapped in the OpenSSH wire format inside this tab. It's unencrypted at rest - if you want a passphrase, run ssh-keygen -p -f id_ed25519 after downloading.
